Why they under-rate you?
Because you are letting them. They easily sense your sensitivity and experiment their ideas on you.
You know one of the Great fights between two factions of the forest is between lion and buffalo. The brutal king, unaware of buffalo’s strength, thinks like all the rest he will suppress buffalo. But after ignoring few attacks of the lion, buffalo will easily beat him.
There are two ways to deal with

2. As we are not animals, so we have to think more generous way. They underrate you when they find your shortcoming.
- In order to dim your shortcoming you have to high light your expertise in a way you want. People never underrate someone when they find uniqueness or expertise in that individual.
- Solve the things where they get stuck and indirectly their mind would accept you as master.
Maybe you are failed in showing them your expertise.
